• Touching Miami With Love (all ages welcome for the summer kick-off) - 9:00a – 1:00p • 711 NW 6th Avenue, Miami, FL 33136 Transportation provided from UBC to TML and back. 1) Mural Projects – to  help us create pre-designed interior murals in our new library and our front classroom to help beautify the space. Don’t worry you don’t have to be an artist to help!  You just have to be able to use a paint brush. Ages 15+ for the mural painting 2) Summer Kick Off Celebration – to join us for our Summer Celebration.  Volunteers help serve snow cones, cotton candy, help with bounce house and kick-off the summer program. Lunch provided on site.

High School Electives will begin Sunday, February 6th in Rooms 201 & 204A.
“How do you know God exists?” “Is Jesus really the only way?” “Is everything in the Bible true?” High School Students will discuss questions like these & more in our Sunday morning High School Elective Classes. This year we have the privilege of going to Nicaragua. We’ll be working with Open Hearts Ministries in Managua. They operate a school in La Chureca, the largest garbage dump in the city. Over 1500 people call the dump their home. More than half are children and teens. We’ll be going from March 13-18, which happens to be spring break. The cost is $700. One more thing, parents are more than welcome. However, we only have 20 spots available. First come, first served!

Rock The Universe 2010

September 10th-12th, 2010

Tribe and Roots students join us for a fun-filled weekend in Orlando, Fl.  at Rock The Universe 2010!  Parents, for official information on Rock the Universe visit their website.  The cost is $160/person, this includes: lodging, transportation, and a 3 full day admission ticket to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure as well as Rock the Universe evening tickets. We will be departing September 10th from UBC  at 11am and returning September 12th to UBC at 9pm. Would you like to register? ROOTS is heading to the Big Apple!!

What are we doing? : A Leadership Development and discipleship trip with UBC leadership in one of the greatest cities in the world!

When are we going? : June 19-25th, 2010

How much will it cost me? : Approximately $400 (depending on airfare at time of booking) which includes airfare, meals, lodging, transportation in the city and tour.
