rekindle . connecting with God

july 4 – august 15

There are lots of ways to connect these days – Facebook, Twitter, IM, texting, Skype, etc. But how do we connect with God? Although He has 375,691 friends on Facebook the last time we checked – we’re pretty sure that’s not the best way to get in touch with Him.
The Bible finds its purpose as it leads us into an ever deepening connection with God. It’s one way He speaks to us & we’re going to take a look at what He has to say. Whether it’s through our leather-bound Bible, smartphone, or iPad – it’s time to rekindle our connection with Him.
We’ve chosen a few of the greatest chapters in the Bible to start the conversation between you & God – starting with James 1 on Sunday, July 4 & then weekly » Luke 15, Isaiah 53, Romans 8, John 15, Genesis 1, Revelation 22, & 1 Corinthians 13.

Toni Cawley, a fellow UBC-er, went to Haiti to help serve with the largest hospital setup in Haiti (conducted by UM Jackson Hospital). She said “this was the hardest work she’s ever done.” You can see their spirit lifted higher in praise to the One who is worthy of all our praise no matter what we face in life. Please keep praying for Haiti.  http://www.ubcmiami.org/haiti
