The Environmental Protection Agency claims the average American produces about 4.4 pounds of garbage a day, 29 pounds per week & 1,600 pounds a year. No, we’re not trying to make you feel guilty. In fact, Americans are not the #1 garbage producer in the world…

But consumer culture makes it all too easy to take the priceless & treat it as if it were meant merely to be used up then thrown on the trash heap. In our new series we let God’s Word teach us how to treasure what truly matters & show that family, marriage, our bodies, time & income are so much more than Disposable.

My Spiritual Journey:

My neighbors brought me to church when I was a few months old. Slowly after my mom, then my dad started coming and committed their lives to Christ… So I grew up with parents who were seeking after Christ and followed their lead. I would say though that I truly “met Jesus” when I began serving with a ministry in Cleveland with my family. This is when I saw a God that was BIG & REAL & LOVED His people.

How I Ended Up at UBC:

I moved to Miami for Graduate School and didn’t know anyone here. I began visiting different churches and then ended up at UBC at a 6pm service one Sunday. After service they had a dinner for young adults called FUSE and I was able to meet a lot of people and make some new friends. I began attending, then serving with the youth, and then working here.

What I do:

I get to be a part of the awesome things God is doing through UBC’ers on mission in Miami and globally.

Dream for UBC:

To be the vehicle God uses to make significant Kingdom change in Miami.

What I love about UBC: That I can experience family even when I'm so far from my own.

Hobbies:

playing, watching, and talking about sports, anything having to do with Cleveland, riding bikes, running, competing in ridiculous challenges, matinees, finding new things to do, making friends, and watching way too much reality television
