Current Series

DISPOSABLE   .   may 12  -  june 10

The Environmental Protection Agency claims the average American produces about 4.4 pounds of garbage a day, 29 pounds per week & 1,600 pounds a year. No, we’re not trying to make you feel guilty. In fact, Americans are not the #1 garbage producer in the world…

But consumer culture makes it all too easy to take the priceless & treat it as if it were meant merely to be used up then thrown on the trash heap. In our new series we let God’s Word teach us how to treasure what truly matters & show that family, marriage, our bodies, time & income are so much more than Disposable.

My Spiritual Journey:

While walking down the beach one evening, my mother, Maura, invited me to talk to God and believe in who Jesus is. As a seven year old, not much changed in my daily life.

It wasn’t until I was seventeen that I realized I really needed Jesus. I was a hypocrite; living one life at church and another life everywhere else. That’s when change happened. I became a disciple of Jesus. Then the adventure began…

How I Ended Up at UBC:

I was pretty much born here. But I have chosen to stay and serve here because I get to do what I love.

What I do:

I get to beat up on middle schoolers and get beat up by high schoolers.

But truthfully, I have the best job in the world. I get the honor of helping students find and follow Jesus. God has transformed my life, and now He’s using me to bring change into the lives of Miami’s youth. I get to teach, plan events, recruit volunteers, and much more all for the sake of Christ being known to our local teens and tweens.

Dream for UBC:

My dream for UBC is that we would let go of our own dreams and latch onto God’s. This isn’t our church. This is Christ’s Church.

Let us never stop praying and fasting to hear the Shepherd’s voice.

What I love about UBC: God has placed some of the greatest men in the world as pastors here; many of which have been like fathers to me.

Before UBC I was....
