Title: Associate Director of GroupsHometown: Miami, FL.
My Spiritual Journey:
I started following Jesus’ example my sophomore year of high school. Previously, I attended catholic school and knew theoretically about Jesus, but simply followed a list of do’s and dont’s. I’ve always been a good rule follower, so it worked… But I knew there had to be more to life than simply following rules. It was then that I began pursuing a relationship with Jesus and He began to slowly change my life and heart.
How I Ended Up at UBC:
A few years back, my older sister began to attend UBC’s Saturday night service with a friend. I however, didn’t buy the whole ” I attend church on Saturday night” story, so I told my mom we should spy on her just to make sure she wasn’t lying. We got in the car, followed her and here we were. Haven’t left since.
What I do:
I’m part of the Adult Life Team. I help adults connect relationally and spiritually through Groups.
Dream for UBC:
My dream for UBC is that our doors would be open to the poor and needy of Miami. I hope to someday attend worship service and sit next to the homeless man who hangs out just three blocks down.
What I love about UBC: I love the people.
